About Us

The unique combination of skills and experience that Michalle and Tracie bring to WageSmart ensures clients receive the most up to date knowledge and experience in the payroll arena which guarantee’s compliance and minimises the risk of being fined for breaches to the legislation. With the introduction of WorkChoices and changes to legislation with respect to employment, Tracie teamed up with partner and Human Resources Specialist Michalle Faulkner where they identified a need for Employers to gain assistance with managing the payroll requirements.  As a consequence, WageSmart was developed to take the worry and work away from the Employer, giving them back much needed time to focus on their core business while still allowing them to maintain the ever important employee relationships with their team. 

TRACIE BUCKNALL

Tracie BucknallAs an Accounts professional, I advise my clients that the accounting systems of your business are your lifeline. The support and more importantly the accuracy of the information you receive from your Accounts Clerk or Bookkeeper is critical to the businesses success and longevity.  

In the highly competitive business world, It is not only important that your chart of accounts, income projections, BAS and taxation responsibilities are accurate but more importantly that they are efficient, strategic and of the highest professional standard. 

Whilst a natural in her abilities, Tracie’s vast accounts experience and passion for her industry stems from her early days of being employed as part of a large Brisbane City Accounting and Audit firm.    As part of this team, Tracie developed a strong knowledge of business accounts and management systems.  Tracie has since combined that experience with many years of work in the industries of Hospitality, Leisure Industry and Building Construction giving her an amazing insight and first hand experience into the diverse needs of different businesses and industry types.    

Tracie is a MYOB Certified Consultant and software distributor as well as having over the past three years earning the distinction of being a member of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers.



 

MICHALLE FAULKNER

Michalle FaulknerAs a competent Human Resources Specialist / Sales Professional Michalle has over  17 years experience in the areas of human resources, business administration, internal and external sales, within the building, labour hire and recruitment industries. 

As a qualified Workplace Health and Safety Officer as well as a Workplace Trainer and Assessor, she brings a wide cross section of skills and experience to enable her to support and partner her client’s.  

Along with WageSmart, Michalle is currently the Director of Essentials 4 Business Pty Ltd.  Essentials 4 Business offers clients a wide range of support services in the areas of Human Resources, Industrial Relations and Recruitment.

Over the past two years Michalle has worked tirelessly in developing and branding her company as well ensuring that the services provided to clients are of the highest standard in quality, value and professional ethics.  The range of services generally sought and undertaken in support to clients includes:-

Developing Recruitment, Selection and Induction procedures and programs
Defining roles and responsibilities
Recruitment Services
Industrial Relations Support including workplace agreement preparation, mediation and dispute resolution
Facilitating Performance Management Programs

 

 

Our Terms of Business

At all times Wagesmart will respect the privacy of individual’s information in line with the Privacy Act. Wagesmart will also act in the strictest confidence in regard to any of our client’s business and wage information that we may be privy to throughout our business association.

A notice period is required of four (4 weeks) prior to cancellation of the provision of Payroll Management / Administrative Services. At the cessation of our association, all relevant records will be released to the Client. Please refer to the schedule of fees for administration costs associated with cancellation.

The client must provide accurate information with regard to the current workplace arrangements. WageSmart cannot be held liable where industrial action is taken if a Client has not disclosed accurate information with regard to agreements in place and accurate information as part of the client details form.

WageSmart indemnify themselves from any liability how so ever where by the client delays or defaults in authorising the ABA file and as such wages payments to staff, PAYG payments, Superannuation Guarantee Payments and all other legislative commitments are delayed or miss deadlines.

WageSmart will include all invoice payments as part of the pay cycle authorisation (ABA file). All invoices must be paid on day of payroll processing and distribution into the staff’s bank accounts. Failure to authorise the invoice payment as part of this process could result in future delays with regard to payroll processing.
